It may also interest you to know that up until the merger with McDonnel Douglas in the 1990's that Boeing was famous for its engineers. They typically promoted their top engineers to top management jobs and engineer was a top priority when producing their planes. Soooo... by the late 1990's Boeing was unchallenged in the world selling their aircraft for 100's of millions of dollars (each) - and they sold a LOT of airplanes every year.
However, back in the 1970's and 1980's a group of European countries (The UK, France, Germany and Spain - I think, please check me on that!) got together to form Airbus Industrie.
How is that company different from Boeing?
